Extra prizes HZ Tournament 2025

Thanks to our sponsor Thinkers Publishing, there will once again be some extra book prizes this year, although the format will be slightly different from last year.

Each round, there will be a "David vs Goliath" prize awarded to the player who overcomes the biggest rating difference. So, if you defeat an opponent with a much higher rating, you stand a good chance of winning this prize. Only players with a FIDE or KNSB rating are eligible (with the higher of the two counting), and each player can win this prize only once during the tournament.

There will also be a youth prize each round for the youngest winner. This prize can also be won only once per player during the tournament.
